($1 per purchase by Johnnie Walker and $1 per purchase by DFS and / or JR Travel Retail stores).

With around 17,500 limited edition packs available, Johnnie Walker, DFS & JR Travel Retail Stores hope to raise approx $35,000 for the Appeal Trust, which will help in the rebuilding of Christchurch. The limited edition packaging details information about the quake and the traditional Johnnie Walker Striding Man is depicted by the New Zealand silver fern.

Steve White, Diageo Global marketing director Travel Retail says, “We admire the strength of the Christchurch people and know the impact is far more than just financial. Proceeds from sales of the limited edition range will however be put towards the physical rebuild, which will contribute to the recovery efforts.”

Together Johnnie Walker and Travel Retail customers in New Zealand hope to offer some inspiration to Christchurch and New Zealand to unite as one and adopt the “Keep Walking” philosophy.

Johnnie Walker Black Label is 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky. Undeniably rich and smooth, Black Label is an acclaimed masterpiece of blending craftsmanship. Johnnie Walker can be enjoyed on its own, with a dash of still or sparkling water, or with soda or ginger ale as a long drink.

I was caught in the earth quake last Feb in Christchurch, NZ. We had only been there for one night, but in the country for two weeks. the people in Christchurch were so helpfull in aiding us to get out of the city. they offered to put up a tent for us to sleep in, offered us food and water and even loaded us into their small car with limited fuel and no chance of getting more soon, and drove us near the airport so we would be there when it reopened. The family that helped us has since relocated to Australia and started over. I don’t see much hope to restore the lovely city like it was before the big quake. I saw the 5 story modern steel and glass TV station building pancake down like the Twin towers did. With the world colapsing around them the good people of Christchurch reached out to others and never complained.——GREAT COUNTRY AND GREAT PEOPLE. CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK!
