Fonterra’s GDT-TWI Price Index for a basket of dairy commodities fell again in its latest online auction. The index fell 1.2% with only casein and skim milk powder recording an increase on the previous price.
High spec commodities such as milk protein all fell, with milk protein concentrate down 10.7% to US$5608 a tonne.
This is the 9th of the last 10 auctions to record a fall in average prices. The average price is now down to US$3511 a tonne.
